She’s A Little Randy

Like Bob Schneider, you’ll probably see a lot of the Drive-By Truckers on here.  I’m hesitant though, because I want to do them justice.  How do you properly explain why a band’s music affects you the way theirs does me?

Until I figure that one out, I’m going to put up a song that Patterson Hood did.  He’s one of the principal singer/songwriters of the band.  It was written in connection (two puns in two posts, somebody stop me) with a movie called “Randy And The Mob”.  I haven’t seen it yet, so I can’t say whether it’s good or not.  It is saved in my Netflix queue for whenever it comes out so I’ll be sure to let you know.

The song is called “She’s A Little Randy”, and is done by Patterson with his side project, the Screwtopians:

It’s rare that I take the time to sit down and figure out a song on guitar.  My musical ears are not the best, I’m not one of those guys who can hear a chord and say “Oh, that’s a D”.  But this song made me sit there and listen to it over and over until I came up with something close enough for me.  Maybe someday I’ll even post the chords on here.  For now, enjoy!
