This song feels like winter to me:

“Skyway” is off the “Pleased To Meet Me” album, which was recorded right after The ‘Mats fired guitarist Bob Stinson.  Since Stinson was the punk foil to Westerberg’s pop sensibility the album took on a differet feel than previous releases.  Another great cut is “Can’t Hardly Wait”:

Fun fact:  Jim Dickinson produced the album.  Jim Dickinson is also the father of 2/3 of the North Mississippi Allstars (Luther and Cody Dickinson).  Luther actually played on “Shooting Dirty Pool” as a teenager.

  1. I love Skyway – it is currently the only Replacements song I have on my iPod. Please don’t chastise me!
