Highways And Cigarettes

I’m not going to go into the back story behind Jay Farrar, because it’s a little complex.  Revolutionizing alt.country, creating two of my favorite bands, and feuding for over a decade with former bandmate Jeff Tweedy is a little much for me to pack in, since alls I wanted to do was feature this song:

It was a new one to me because I haven’t bought a Son Volt album since their reformation a few years ago.  The last Farrar thing I purchased was “Stone, Steel, and Bright Lights” – a great live album, by the way.  But I think I might have to go change that.
